Engagement of Civil Society in the investigation of situation of Georgia by International Criminal Court

Project Goals:

• Supporting victims of 2008 August War and relevant organs of International Criminal Court during the investigation period;
• Studying the situation of IDPs and raising awareness about their rights;
• Advocating before the responsible bodies regarding the problems revealed within the frameworks of the project.

In order to achieve above mentioned goals, the organizations participating in the project implemented following activities:

• Visits in IDP settlements, meeting with IDPs, documenting their social-economic conditions and problems, informing them about the investigation conducted by International Criminal Court and about their rights; 
• Communicating with different organs of International Criminal Court and Georgian government regarding the challenges of investigation of 2008 August War and current socio-economic problems of the IDPs.
